Strawberry pattern baby buckle
Here's a pattern for a crochet strawberry pattern baby buckle:

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn in red, green, and black
  • Crochet hook (size US G/6 or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stuffing
Pattern: Strawberry:

  1. With red yarn, make a magic ring and work 6 single crochet (sc) stitches into the ring. Join with a slip stitch (sl st) to the first sc.
  2. Round 1: Chain (ch) 1, 2 sc in each stitch around. Join with sl st to first sc. (12 stitches)
  3. Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next stitch around. Join with sl st to first sc. (18 stitches)
  4. Round 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 2 stitches around. Join with sl st to first sc. (24 stitches)
  5. Round 4-5: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around. Join with sl st to first sc. (24 stitches)
  6. Round 6: Ch 1, decrease over the next 2 stitches, sc in next 2 stitches around. Join with sl st to first sc. (18 stitches)
  7. Round 7: Ch 1, decrease over the next 2 stitches, sc in next stitch around. Join with sl st to first sc. (12 stitches)
  8. Stuff the strawberry with stuffing.
  9. Round 8: Ch 1, decrease over the next 2 stitches around. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 stitches)
  10. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Leaves:

  1. With green yarn, ch 9.
  2. Row 1: Starting in the second chain from the hook, sc in each chain across. (8 stitches)
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. (8 stitches)
  4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each of the first 2 stitches, skip 1 stitch, slip stitch (sl st) in the next stitch, skip 1 stitch, sc in each of the last 2 stitches. (4 stitches)
  5. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly:

  1. Sew the leaves to the top of the strawberry.
  2. With black yarn, embroider small seeds on the strawberry.
You can attach the strawberry to a baby buckle by sewing it onto the front of the buckle. This cute and colorful accessory is sure to delight any baby!
