Here's a simple and easy knitting pattern using two skewers:Materials:
- Two wooden skewers (or chopsticks)
- Yarn of your choice
- Scissors
- Cast on your stitches: To cast on your stitches, tie a slipknot around one skewer and hold the skewers parallel to each other. Then, using the yarn, create a loop around both skewers and pull it through the slipknot. Repeat until you have the desired number of stitches.
- Knit every row: Hold one skewer in each hand, with the working yarn at the back of your work. Insert the right-hand skewer into the first stitch on the left-hand skewer, going from front to back. Wrap the yarn around the right-hand skewer, then pull it through the stitch on the left-hand skewer. Slide the stitch off the left-hand skewer and onto the right-hand skewer. Repeat until all stitches have been worked.
- Repeat rows: Continue knitting every row until you reach the desired length.
- Cast off: To cast off your stitches, knit the first two stitches as usual. Insert the left-hand skewer into the first stitch on the right-hand skewer, lift it over the second stitch and off the skewer. Knit the next stitch, then lift the previous stitch over it and off the skewer. Repeat until all stitches have been worked.
