There are several simple patterns you can create using two skewers for knitting. Here are two examples:
- Garter Stitch Scarf:
- Two wooden skewers (or chopsticks)
- Yarn of your choice
- Scissors
- Cast on an even number of stitches on both skewers using the method described in the previous answer.
- Knit every row, going back and forth between the skewers until the scarf is the desired length.
- Once the scarf is the desired length, cast off as described in the previous answer.
- Seed Stitch Headband:
- Two wooden skewers (or chopsticks)
- Yarn of your choice
- Scissors
- Cast on an odd number of stitches on both skewers using the method described in the previous answer.
- *Knit the first stitch on the right-hand skewer, then purl the next stitch on the left-hand skewer. Repeat from * to the end of the row.
- Switch hands and repeat step 2, starting with a purl stitch on the right-hand skewer.
- Continue alternating between knit and purl stitches on each row until the headband is the desired width.
- Once the headband is the desired width, cast off as described in the previous answer.
