Here are two examples:
- Garter Stitch Scarf:
- Two wooden needles
- Yarn of your choice
- Scissors
- Cast on an even number of stitches on both needles using the method described in the previous answer.
- Knit every row, going back and forth between the needles until the scarf is the desired length.
- Once the scarf is the desired length, cast off as described in the previous answer.
- Two wooden skewers (or chopsticks)
- Yarn of your choice
- Scissors
- Cast on an odd number of stitches on both needles using the method described in the previous answer.
- *Knit the first stitch on the right-hand needle, then purl the next stitch on the left-hand needle. Repeat from * to the end of the row.
- Switch hands and repeat step 2, starting with a purl stitch on the right-hand needle.
- Continue alternating between knit and purl stitches on each row until the headband is the desired width.
- Once the headband is the desired width, cast off as described in the previous answer.
