Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops Recipe

Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
  • 1 cup shredded reduced-fat Swiss cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil spray

Slow Cooker Alpine Pork Chops Directions:

  • Heat the olive oil spray in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then brown them on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • In the slow cooker, combine the reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, shredded Swiss cheese, onion, garlic, and dried thyme. Stir to mix well.
  • Place the browned pork chops into the slow cooker, submerging them in the sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork chops are tender and cooked through.
  • Before serving, give the sauce a good stir and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
