Here's a basic pattern for making ladies' socks with two knitting needles:Materials:
- Fingering weight sock yarn (about 300-400 yards)
- Size 1 (2.25mm) knitting needles
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Cast on 60 stitches. Divide the stitches onto two needles, with 30 stitches on each needle.
- Knit 2, purl 2 ribbing for 2 inches (5 cm).
- Knit in stockinette stitch (knit every round) until the sock measures about 7 inches (18 cm) from the cast-on edge.
- Begin shaping the heel:
