4 Irresistible Bite-Size Treats for Sweet and Savory Cravings

Whether you’re craving something cheesy and savory or warm and sweet, these four easy bite-size recipes have you covered. From crispy potato bites and gooey cheese balls to cinnamon-coated biscuit bites and homemade donut holes, each one is simple enough for everyday snacking and fun enough to serve at parties, game days, or family gatherings.

Potato Bites Recipe

Crispy on the outside and soft and cheesy in the middle, these golden potato bites are an easy way to turn leftover mashed potatoes into an irresistible snack.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups cold mashed potatoes
• 1 large egg
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
• 1/3 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add the mashed potatoes, egg, cheddar cheese, flour, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to a large bowl. Stir until evenly combined.

  2. Scoop small portions of the potato mixture and gently roll them into bite-size balls.

  3. For frying, cook the potato bites in hot oil in batches until crisp and golden on all sides. For baking, arrange them on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until browned and heated through.

  4. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

  5. Serve warm with ketchup, ranch dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Cheese Balls Recipe

These crispy cheese balls have a crunchy breadcrumb coating wrapped around a warm, creamy mozzarella center.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 4 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup breadcrumbs
• 1/4 tsp garlic powder
• 1/3 tsp paprika
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• Oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Combine the mozzarella, cream cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well mixed.

  2. Scoop the cheese mixture into small portions and roll each one into a ball.

  3. Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl, then roll each cheese ball in the crumbs until completely coated.

  4. Heat the oil in a deep skillet or saucepan. Fry the cheese balls in small batches until the coating is crisp and golden.

  5. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.

  6. Serve hot with marinara sauce, ranch, or a spicy dipping sauce.

Cinnamon Biscuit Bites Recipe

Warm biscuit pieces coated in cinnamon sugar and finished with creamy vanilla icing make these quick bites perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients:

• 1 small roll refrigerated biscuit dough
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• 2 oz cream cheese, softened
• 2 tbsp butter, softened
• 1 tbsp milk
• 1/3 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cut the biscuit dough into small, bite-size pieces.

  3. Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss the biscuit pieces in the mixture until evenly coated.

  4. Arrange the coated pieces in the prepared pan and bake until puffed and golden brown.

  5. Meanwhile, whisk together the powdered sugar, cream cheese, butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

  6. Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon biscuit bites and serve.

Donut Holes Recipe

Soft, fluffy, and golden, these homemade donut holes are an easy classic that can be finished with powdered sugar or your favorite glaze.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/3 cup whole milk
• 1 large egg
• 2 tbsp butter, melted
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Add the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix just until a soft dough forms.

  3. Scoop small portions of dough and gently shape them into balls.

  4. Heat the frying oil in a deep saucepan or skillet. Working in batches, carefully add the dough balls and fry until puffed and evenly golden brown.

  5. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.

  6. While still slightly warm, roll the donut holes in powdered sugar or finish them with your favorite glaze.

Serving Idea:

Arrange all four varieties on a large snack board with small bowls of marinara, ranch, caramel, and vanilla icing. It creates an easy mix of savory and sweet bites that works especially well for parties, family movie nights, and casual gatherings.
