Here's a simple pattern for a Tunisian crochet baby blanket:

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn (about 600g)

Tunisian crochet hook (size US I/9 or size needed to obtain gauge)

Scissors

Tapestry needle

Pattern:

    Foundation Row: Chain 90.

Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) Row: Insert the hook from right to left under the second chain from the hook, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Leave the loop on the hook. Insert the hook under the next chain, yarn over, and draw up a loop. Continue in this manner across the row until there is one loop remaining on the hook.

Return Row: Chain 1, then yarn over and pull through two loops on the hook. Continue in this manner across the row until there is one loop remaining on the hook.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until the blanket is the desired length (approximately 36-40 inches for a baby blanket).

Bind off: Chain 1, then yarn over and pull through two loops on the hook. Repeat this process until there is only one loop remaining on the hook. Cut the yarn and pull the tail through the final loop to secure it.

Weave in any loose ends with a tapestry needle.

You can use a single color of yarn or change colors as desired to create stripes or other patterns. This simple Tunisian stitch creates a soft and cozy texture that's perfect for a baby blanket.
