Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to knit the Star Stitch:

Materials Needed:

Yarn

Crochet hook

Scissors

Instructions:

    Start by making a foundation chain of an even number of stitches.

    Skip the first two chains and insert your hook into the third chain from the hook.

    Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have two loops on your hook.

    Insert your hook into the next chain stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You should now have three loops on your hook.

    Insert your hook into the next chain stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You should now have four loops on your hook.

    Repeat steps 10-16 for the rest of the row.

    When you reach the end of the row, chain one and turn your work.

    Insert your hook into the next chain stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You should now have three loops on your hook.

    Insert your hook into the next chain stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You should now have five loops on your hook.

    Yarn over and pull through all six loops on your hook. You should now have only one loop on your hook.

    Chain one.

    Repeat steps 19-25 for the rest of the row.

    Repeat steps 18-26 for as many rows as desired.
