Crocheting baby shoes can be a fun and rewarding project. Here are the steps to follow to crochet a basic pair of baby shoes:

Materials you will need:

Worsted weight yarn in your choice of color

Crochet hook in the size recommended for the yarn

Yarn needle

Scissors

Buttons or other embellishments (optional)

Instructions:

Begin by making a slip knot on your crochet hook.

    Chain 11 stitches.

Single crochet in the second chain from the hook, and in each chain across. You should end up with 10 single crochets.

Chain 1, turn your work, and single crochet in each stitch across. Repeat this row until your work measures approximately 2 inches.

Fold the piece in half, with the right sides facing each other, and stitch the back seam together using your yarn needle.

Turn the shoe right side out.

Starting at the toe of the shoe, attach your yarn and single crochet evenly around the top of the shoe. Slip stitch to join to the first single crochet.

Chain 1, and single crochet in each stitch around. Repeat this row until the shoe measures the desired length.

Slip stitch to join to the first single crochet, and fasten off.

Repeat steps 1-9 to make the second shoe.

To add buttons or other embellishments, simply sew them onto the shoe where desired.
