Tuna Melts Directions:

  • Preheat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

  • Add drained tuna to a small mixing bowl.

  • Stir in mayonnaise, chopped celery, onions, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

  • Spray one side of each bread slice with 4 sprays of butter spray.

  • Place half of the tuna mixture on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread.

  • Add one slice of cheddar cheese over the tuna and close with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.

  • Transfer the sandwich to the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 3–4 minutes per side.

  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients for the second sandwich.

  • Serve warm.
