Stout Glazed Pork Chops Directions:
Lightly coat a 6-quart slow cooker insert with cooking spray.
Spread the sliced onion evenly over the bottom.
In a bowl whisk together stout, brown sweetener, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
Stir in salt and black pepper.
Pat pork chops dry and season lightly with additional salt and pepper if desired.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chops 2 minutes per side until browned.
Transfer pork chops over the onions in the slow cooker in a single layer.
Pour the stout mixture evenly over the chops.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or on HIGH for 3 hours 30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F and meat is tender.
Transfer chops to a plate and tent loosely with foil.
Pour cooking liquid and onions into a wide saucepan.
Simmer over medium heat for 12 minutes until reduced by half and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Return chops to the sauce and spoon glaze over the top.
Serve hot. One serving equals 1 pork chop with approximately 1/4 cup reduced glaze and onions.
