Oven Baked Crack Chicken Pasta Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup, dry ranch seasoning mix, and water until smooth.
Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese and about two-thirds of the crumbled bacon.
Add the uncooked penne pasta and the cooked shredded chicken, then stir until the pasta and chicken are evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Press the pasta down gently so it sits mostly under the sauce.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake on the center rack for 35 minutes.
Remove the foil carefully, stir gently, and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Return the dish to the oven uncovered and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the pasta is tender, the sauce is bubbling, and the cheese is melted with light golden spots.
Sprinkle the remaining crumbled bacon over the top immediately after baking.
Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Serve 8 portions, about 1 1/4 cups each.
