Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly coat a 9x13-inch glass casserole dish with nonstick spray.
Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned.
Drain any excess grease.
Stir in the kosher salt.
Unroll 1 can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish, pinching the seams together.
Sprinkle 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the dough.
Spread the cooked beef evenly over the cheese layer.
Top with the remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the filling, gently pinching the seams together.
