SUBSCRIBE

If you're new to Tunisian crochet, here's a simple pattern to get you started with super easy Tunisian knitting:

Materials:

Tunisian crochet hook (size will depend on your yarn weight)

Worsted weight yarn

Scissors

Yarn needle

Instructions:

Make a foundation chain: Make a chain of stitches that is the desired width of your project.

Work the foundation row: Start with the second stitch from the hook and insert your hook under the back loop of the chain. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Leave this loop on your hook. Repeat this process for every stitch in the chain.

Work the return pass: Chain one. Yarn over and pull through two loops on your hook. Repeat until you have one loop left on your hook.

Work the forward pass: Start with the second stitch from the hook. Insert your hook under the vertical bar of the next stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Leave this loop on your hook. Repeat for every stitch in the row.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 until your project is the desired length.

Bind off: When you've reached the end of your project, bind off by pulling the loop on your hook through the first loop on your hook.

Weave in ends: Use a yarn needle to weave in any loose ends.

With this simple pattern, you can make a scarf, a dishcloth, or any other project you like. As you become more comfortable with Tunisian crochet, you can experiment with different stitches and patterns to create more complex projects.
