Pine model easy booties making

Here's a basic pattern for making easy pine tree model booties:

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn in green and brown

Size 7 (4.5mm) knitting needles

Scissors

Tapestry needle

Instructions:

Note: These booties are worked from the sole up.

Sole:

    Cast on 11 stitches in brown yarn.

    Row 1: Knit.

    Row 2: Knit 2, make 1, knit 5, make 1, knit 2, make 1, knit 1.

    Row 3: Knit.

    Row 4: Knit 2, make 1, knit 7, make 1, knit 1.

    Row 5: Knit.

    Row 6: Knit 2, make 1, knit 9.

    Row 7: Knit.

    Row 8: Knit 2, make 1, knit 9, make 1, knit 1.

    Row 9: Knit.

    Row 10: Knit 2, make 1, knit 11, make 1, knit 1.

    Row 11: Knit.

    Row 12: Knit 2, make 1, knit 11, make 1, knit 2, make 1, knit 1.

    Row 13: Knit.

Upper:

    Pick up and knit 11 stitches along the side of the sole.

    Knit 10 rows in green yarn.

    Row 11: Knit 2 together, knit to 2 stitches before the end of the row, knit 2 together.

    Knit 9 rows in green yarn.

    Row 21: Knit 2 together, knit to 2 stitches before the end of the row, knit 2 together.

    Knit 7 rows in green yarn.

    Row 29: Knit 2 together, knit to 2 stitches before the end of the row, knit 2 together.

    Knit 5 rows in green yarn.

    Row 35: Knit 2 together, knit to 2 stitches before the end of the row, knit 2 together.

    Knit 3 rows in green yarn.

    Row 39: Knit 2 together, knit to 2 stitches before the end of the row, knit 2 together.

    Knit 1 row in green yarn.

    Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle and pull it through the remaining stitches. Pull tight to close the bootie and weave in the end.

Make a second bootie to complete the pair.

These booties can be customized with different colors and embellishments, such as a ribbon or button for a decorative touch.
