Instructions:

Sole:

    Cast on 28 (32, 36) stitches.

    Knit 1, purl 1 ribbing for 6 rows.

    Knit in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 3 (3.5, 4) inches from the beginning, ending with a purl row.

    Next row: K1, k2tog, knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1 (26, 30, 34 stitches remaining).

    Knit in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 4 (4.5, 5) inches from the beginning, ending with a purl row.

    Next row: K1, k2tog, knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1 (24, 28, 32 stitches remaining).
