  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Open the cans of pork and beans and pour off half of the standing liquid.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the ketchup, barbecue sauce, mustard, brown sugar substitute, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and liquid smoke until combined. Set aside.

  • Heat a large 12-inch cast iron or oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon pieces and cook until partially done. Remove the bacon and set aside on a paper towel.

  • Add the diced onions to the bacon fat and cook for 2 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.

  • Add the pork and beans into the skillet with the onions and garlic. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
