Southern 3-Ingredient Mayonnaise Biscuits Directions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Place a 9- or 10-inch cast iron skillet on the middle rack while the oven heats.
Add the self-rising flour to a medium mixing bowl.
Whisk the milk and mayonnaise together in a separate bowl until smooth.
Pour the milk mixture into the flour.
Gently stir just until a thick, sticky dough forms.
Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven.
Lightly rub the skillet with a very thin film of the measured dough mixture if needed to prevent sticking.
Scoop the dough into 10 small biscuits using a lightly greased spoon or 3-tbsp scoop.
Place the biscuits close together in the hot skillet.
Bake for 13 to 16 minutes, until the tops are golden and the edges are lightly browned.
Let the biscuits cool for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
