Smoky Glazed Sausage & Fried Onions Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Lightly coat a 9x13-inch metal baking pan with nonstick spray and spread the thickly sliced onions evenly across the bottom.
In a small bowl, whisk olive oil, soy sauce, sugar-free maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Place the 6 sausage links over the onions without overlapping.
Brush half of the glaze evenly over the sausages and onions.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, turning sausages at the 15-minute mark.
Brush with the remaining glaze and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let rest 5 minutes.
Serve 1 sausage link with approximately ¾ cup caramelized onions per serving.
