Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan Penne Directions:

  • Lightly coat the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer on the bottom of the slow cooker.

  • Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the chicken and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or on HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender while holding its shape.

  • About 20 minutes before serving, cook the penne pasta according to package directions and drain well.

  • Add the cooked penne pasta to the slow cooker, gently tucking it into the sauce underneath the chicken while keeping the chicken breasts whole on top.

  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken breasts.

  • Cover and let sit on WARM for 5 minutes, until the cheese melts and lightly sets.
