Slow Cooker Amish Potatoes and Green Beans Directions:

Place the potatoes in an even layer in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.
Scatter the Canadian bacon over the potatoes.
Pour the chicken broth evenly over the mixture.
Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours or on HIGH for 2 1/2 hours.
Add the green beans and gently press them into the broth.
Cover and cook on LOW for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or on HIGH for 45 to 60 minutes, until the potatoes are fork-tender and the beans are soft without falling apart.
Season with black pepper and kosher salt only if needed.
Gently stir without breaking the potatoes.
Serve hot with some of the smoky broth spooned over each portion.
