Pecan Pie Brownies Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (or as instructed on brownie mix box).

  • In a medium saucepan, combine Swerve, ChocZero syrup, eggs, applesauce, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring often, until thickened.

  • In a separate bowl, mix brownie batter with egg whites, applesauce, and water until smooth.

  • Pour batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

  • Stir chopped pecans into the thickened pecan filling. Cook 2–3 more minutes until glossy and loose in consistency.

  • Pour pecan mixture over the partially baked brownie base.

  • Return to oven and bake 25–30 minutes until center is just set but still slightly jiggly.

  • Cool completely at room temperature before cutting into 16 squares.
