Pecan Pie Brownies Directions

Preheat oven to 325°F (or as instructed on brownie mix box).

In a medium saucepan, combine Swerve, ChocZero syrup, eggs, applesauce, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring often, until thickened.

In a separate bowl, mix brownie batter with egg whites, applesauce, and water until smooth.

Pour batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

Stir chopped pecans into the thickened pecan filling. Cook 2–3 more minutes until glossy and loose in consistency.

Pour pecan mixture over the partially baked brownie base.

Return to oven and bake 25–30 minutes until center is just set but still slightly jiggly.

Cool completely at room temperature before cutting into 16 squares.
