Spoon the soup mixture evenly over the chicken pieces.
Cover the dish tightly with foil.
Bake on the middle oven rack for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil carefully and spoon pan sauce over the chicken.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, until the glaze is bubbling and the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F.
Move the dish one rack higher and bake for 7 minutes to brown the top.
Remove from the oven and rest for 8 minutes before serving.
Spoon the onion glaze over each portion when serving.
