  • In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar substitute, honey substitute, granulated sugar substitute, and light butter.

  • Heat over medium heat until fully melted and smooth without boiling, then remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and ground ginger.

  • Add egg, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla to the cooled sugar mixture and stir until combined.

  • Fold in sliced almonds.

  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix just until combined.

  • Cover dough tightly and refrigerate for exactly 6 hours.

  • Remove dough from refrigerator and let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly coat with cooking spray.

  • Press dough evenly into the prepared pan using a lightly greased spatula.
