Georgia’s Loaded Baked Beans Directions:
-
In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving 1 teaspoon of drippings in the skillet.
-
Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
-
In a large baking dish or Dutch oven, combine cooked bacon, onion, garlic, pork and beans, kidney beans, and black beans.
-
In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar substitute, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour over the beans and stir until evenly coated.
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes longer, until the sauce thickens and bubbles.
-
Let cool slightly before serving.
