Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until a soft dough forms.

  • Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.

  • Bake the crust for 12 minutes or until lightly golden.

  • Remove the crust from the oven and pour the caramel sauce evenly over the hot crust.

  • Sprinkle chocolate chunks and chopped nuts evenly over the caramel layer.

  • Return to the oven and bake for 10 more minutes until the caramel is bubbling and the chocolate is softened.

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Let sit 2–3 minutes, then lightly spread with a spatula if desired.

  • Let the bars cool completely at room temperature. Cut into 20 even squares.
