  1. Preheat the Oven:

  2. Prepare the Peas:

    • If using frozen peas, thaw and drain them. If using fresh peas, rinse them.
  3. Brown the Butter:

    • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma (about 3-4 minutes). Be careful not to burn it.
  4. Mix with Garlic:

    • Add the minced garlic to the browned butter and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Combine and Season:

    • In a bowl, toss the peas with the browned butter and garlic mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Roast the Peas:

    • Spread the peas in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are slightly crispy.
  7. Add Parmesan (Optional):

    • If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the roasted peas before serving.
