Roll pastry up from the long side into a log.

Slice the log in half lengthwise with a sharp knife to expose layers.

Twist both halves around each other, keeping cut sides facing outward for visible layers.

Tuck ends underneath slightly and transfer braid to prepared baking sheet.

Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
