5-Ingredient Bacon-Wrapped Beef Bites Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
Divide the ground beef into 12 equal portions. Gently shape each into a short, thick oval roll, approximately 2 inches long and 1 inch thick, without packing tightly.
Divide the bacon into 12 wrapping portions, trimming or combining lengths as needed. Wrap each beef roll around its middle, leaving both ends exposed and keeping the overlap small.
Arrange the bread squares on the prepared pan. Place one wrapped beef roll seam-side down on each square.
Mix the brown sugar and chili powder. Sprinkle evenly over the bacon-wrapped rolls, gently pressing the mixture onto the tops and sides.
Bake for approximately 35–45 minutes, beginning to check at 30 minutes, until the bacon is fully cooked and browned, the glaze is bubbling, and the center of each beef roll reaches 160°F (71°C). Insert the thermometer horizontally through an exposed beef end.
If the glaze or bread edges darken too quickly, loosely cover with foil and continue cooking until the beef reaches the required temperature.
Let rest for 5 minutes, then use a thin spatula to lift each bread square with its beef roll intact. Serve warm.

Practical Woman's Secret
Use firm bread and keep each beef roll slightly smaller than its bread square. Place the bacon seam underneath so the wrap stays secure while the exposed bread edges become toasted.

Serving and Storage
Serve two bites per appetizer portion, keeping each bacon-wrapped roll on its bread base. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours in a shallow, airtight container and use within 3–4 days. Reheat on a baking sheet at 325°F until the beef reaches 165°F, loosely covering if the glaze darkens. The bread will soften during storage.
