5-Ingredient Amish Chicken & Noodles Directions:
Place the raw chicken breasts in an even layer in a 6-quart slow cooker.
Spread the condensed cream of chicken soup evenly over the chicken.
Pour the chicken broth over and around the chicken to thin the sauce slightly.
Cut the light butter into small pieces and distribute evenly over the top.
Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours or on HIGH for 2 1/2 hours, until the chicken shreds easily.
Remove the chicken to a cutting board and shred into bite-sized pieces using two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
Add the dry egg noodles and stir to submerge them in the liquid. Add up to 1/2 cup additional broth if needed to mostly cover the noodles.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 25 minutes, stirring once at the 12-minute mark, until noodles are tender.
Let sit uncovered for 5 minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
