In a medium mixing bowl, add the plain 0% Greek yogurt and blended plain 0% cottage cheese. Stir until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and evenly combined.
Sprinkle the reduced-sodium dry French onion soup mix evenly over the creamy base. Fold and stir until the seasoning is fully incorporated and the onion flecks are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
Taste the dip before adding anything else, since the soup mix is usually salty enough on its own. If the texture is too thick, stir in 1 tablespoon of cold water at a time until it reaches your preferred dipping consistency.
Transfer the dip to a clear glass serving bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours, so the dehydrated onions soften and the flavor deepens.
